Brown Rice Pilaf

Ingredients:

1med chopped onion
1 chopped celery stalk
2 cups uncooked brown rice
4 1/2 cups water
2 chicken bullion cubes parve
1/4 cup raisins
1/4 cup chopped dry apricots
1/4 cup chopped walnuts (optional)
2 tbs chopped fresh sage
or 1 tsp dried sage
1/8 tsp salt
1/8 tsp ground pepper



Instructions:

Heat a large sprayed skillet. Saute onion, celery til tender, about 5 min. Add brown rice and saute for another 5 min. Add water, bullion, raisins, apricots and bring to boil. Cover and simmer until rice is tender and water is absorbed, about 50 min. Stir iin sage salt & pepper. Garnish with fresh sage.
