Pumpkin Pie

Ingredients:

2 9" unbaked pie shells
6 large eggs, slightly beaten
1 1/2 cups sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp allspice
2 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp cloves
1/2 tsp nutmeg
1/4 tsp ginger
29 oz can solid pack pumpkin
16 oz parve whip


Instructions:

Preheat oven to 450. Combine pumpkin, eggs, sugar, salt & spices. blend well. Add parve whip. Pour into 2 pie shells. Bake for 10 min, reduce heat to 350 & bake another 40 min. Pies are done when knife inserted in center of pie come out clean. Cool & store in ref. Optonal: Decorate as follows: Remove pie after it has baked for about 30 min & after you have combined 1 cup pecan halves with 1/4 cup sugar & 2 tbs margarine. Decorate top with pecans in single layer. Return to oven to finish baking.
