Whole Wheat Stuffing

Ingredients:

2 large granny smith apples (2 cups)
5 oz sliced almonds (1 cup)
3/4 cup chopped onions (1 large)
3/4 cup chopped celery (3 stalks)
4 tbs margarine
1 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp poultry seasonning
1/4 tsp salt
6 cups cubed wholewheat bread
1 cup raisins
1 large egg
1/2 cup apple juice


Instructions:

Saute apples, almonds, onion, celery in margarine til soft & translucent. Remove from heat, add cinnamon, poultry seasoning & salt. Toss with bread crumbs till well mixed. Stir in slightly beaten egg into apple juice and mix with bread mixture. Add more juice if necessary. Spoon into lightly greased baking ban. Bake covered at 375 for 30 to 40 min. Can be frozen.
