Tzimmes with prunes

Ingredients:

2 baked yams, peeled & sliced or 1 can of yams
3 sliced carrots par boiled
2 sliced apples
10 pitted prunes
1/2 cup craisins
1/2 chopped pecans
8 oz crushed pineapple & juice
1 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup orange juice
1/4 cup sweet red wine,grape or cherry juice
1 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp ground ginger
1/2 tsp allspice





Instructions:

Bake yams cool, peel & slice.Peel slice carrots. Cook til almost tender. Peel & slice apples. Preheat oven to 350. Combine all ingredients in large bowl. Pour into 2 qt well greased casserole & bake for 1 to 2 hrs. Can be frozen. Can be prepared 2 days ahead. Instead of prunes add additional 1/2 cup craisins can be substituted
