Pot Roast Slow BakedCuisine: Meat Category: Beef Servings: 8 Ingredients:4-5 lb brisket2 to 3 minced garlic cloves 1 small diced onion 2 tbs cider vinegar 1/4 cup red wine 1/4 cup honey 1/4 cup Coca Cola (optional) 3 tbs ketchup 1 tsp horseradish salt, pepper & paprika to taste 1/4 cup olive oil (optional) Instructions:Place brisket in roasting pan. Mix together other ingredients & pour over brisket, make sure it is completely covered. Marinade at room temperature for 1 hour or in ref overnight. Bake at 250 for 4 hrs, or until tender. Refrigerate & remove hardened fat before slicing & reheating. If 350 is used in the oven, check after 1 1/2 hrs. For additional Gravy: Skim off fat and drain thru a sieve to remove allpieces. When completely cooled. Pour into small sauces pan and add 3 tbs gravy mix, 1 tsp thyme and mix thoroughly before heating. Heat slowly, stir until thickened.
