Drain completely & remove from pan. Add oil & cubed onions & peeled cubed eggplant. Saute until eggplant is soft & can be mashed. Return browned beef to pan & simmer until well blended. Add tomato sauce & puree. If too thick add more tomato sauce. Add spices & simmer 10 min more.
