Ingredients:

1 cup butter, softened
1 cup granulated sugar
1 egg, separated
1 tbs cinnamon
1/2 cup pecans, chopped
2 cups flour, sifted


Instructions:

Place butter and sugar in a large mixing bowl and beat until light and fluffy. Add egg yolk and beat well. Add flour and cinnamon and mix at low speed until well blended. Spread dough on an ungreased 15x12 inch baking sheet, leaving a 1.5-inch border for spreading. Beat egg white in a small bowl until foamy, then brush over dough. Sprinkle the chopped pecans over the dough and lightly press them in. Bake at 300 F for 45 to 50 minutes. Cut into triangles while still hot. Remove from baking sheet and cool on a wire rack.
