Basic Royal Icings

Servings:

Ingredients:

1/4 lb or 3/4 confectioners sugar
1 tb hot water
1/4 tsp vanilla
Rum Icing:
same sugar
2 tsp hot water
1 tbs rum
1/4 tsp vanilla extract
Choc Icing:
same sugar
2 tbs cocoa powder
4 tsp hot water
Orange Icing:
same sugar
2 tbs orange juice/liqueur
1 tbs hot water
1/4 tsp orange or lemon extract



Instructions:

Combine ingredients in small bowl until sugar is completely dissolved. the icing will have the consistency of glue. Use immediately before it begins to harden. All icings have to be used immediately before they harden.
