Gefilte Fish

Ingredients:

6 cups water
3 tbs sugar
1 1/2 tbs kosher salt
1/4 tsp pepper
1 sliced onion
2 large sliced carrots
1 stalk celery
2 frozen gefilte fish loaves (Ungar)


Instructions:

Place all ingredients except fish into large enough pot to accomodate the two loaves and bring to a boil. Add frozen loaves without removing the parchment paper. Cover pot and simmer for 1 1/2 hrs. Uncover, cool and remove. Discard all except sliced carrots and fish. Remove parchment and refrigerate. Serve cold with the sliced carrots
